Outside of work, Mark enjoys films, creating music, and spending quality time with his wife Tori and their two children, Brianna and Binx.

I began my real estate career in 2022 as a Transaction Coordinator for one of DFW’s top-producing agents, who would go on to become the Broker/Owner of BK Real Estate. Working alongside her gave me invaluable insight into high-volume transaction management and the inner workings of a fast-growing brokerage. In 2023, I stepped into the role of Director of Operations for BK Real Estate, one of the fastest growing brokerages in Texas, where I have helped implement systems and streamline workflows. As of 2025, I have transitioned into a finance-focused leadership role and now proudly serve as Head of Financial Operations for Starlight Property Management. My background also includes management experience with Starbucks prior to having my son in 2020 — a role that laid the foundation for my love of process, accountability, and team support. I’m passionate about implementing efficient, scalable systems and ensuring financial transparency as we grow Starlight in partnership with BK Real Estate.

With a distinguished 12.5-year tenure in the United States Air Force, I bring a wealth of experience and dedication to every endeavor. Originally hailing from New Jersey, I have called Texas home since 2004. A certified paralegal, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration and an MBA, reflecting my commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.Beyond my professional achievements, I take immense pride in raising two remarkable adult children. Malik, an Army Veteran, and Tatianna, a graduate of Louisiana State University, & currently enrolled as a grad student at Sam Houston State University, exemplify our family’s legacy of service and academic excellence.

She works closely with property owners to ensure their investments are well-supported by coordinating maintenance, managing communication, and helping keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Karli Jo is also a licensed Realtor® and has worked in lead management at BK Real Estate for three years, giving her a unique perspective on both the client experience and the real estate market. Her 20 years as an educator taught her to be organized, resourceful, and relentlessly focused on solving problems which makes her a reliable asset to both property owners and tenants.
